Sean Blair is assistant Professor of Marketing at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. Professor Blair received his Ph.D. and M.S in Marketing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Professor Blair is a consumer behavior researcher with a particular interest in how the motivation for control influences consumer judgment and decision making. Sean’s research has appeared in Journal of Consumer Research and has been featured in several media outlets including NPR, The Atlantic, and The New Yorker. Prior to pursuing a career in academia, he worked in the energy industry as a management consultant and as a nuclear safety analysis engineer.
